The actions of the first arriving fire company can have profound implications in how successfully the incident is resolved. Krause uses a systems approach to problem identification and intervention. Using real world fire scenarios, this course challenges the student to identify and prioritize fire ground activities and implement potential solutions to the problems identified, while evaluating their effectiveness. Through the use of state-of-the-art computer software and videos, Bob presents the student with “working fires” and other complex emergency scenes that draw the student in and places the challenge of initial command squarely on their shoulders. The session is highly interactive, informative and entertaining, creating an excellent learning environment.
