The actions of the first arriving fire company can have profound implications in how successfully the incident is resolved. Krause uses a systems approach to problem identification and intervention. Using real world fire scenarios this course challenges the student to identify and prioritize fire ground activities and implement potential solutions to the problems identified and evaluate there effectiveness. Using state-of-the-art computer software and videos, Bob presents the student with “working fires” and other complex emergency scenes that draw the student in and places the challenge of initial command squarely on their shoulders. The session is highly interactive, informative and entertaining, creating an excellent learning environment.

Everyday in this country fire crews respond to working fires. The first arriving company is faced with many decisions that can have grave impact on the outcome. Lives saved or lost. The first arriving firefighter must make strategic and tactical decisions to successfully mitigate the situation. This program puts the attendee in a position to make critical decisions, allowing them to develop critical thinking skills.
